The Jammu and Kashmir government has established a high-level committee to create a Single Window System for processing recruitment rules effectively. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and accountability in public service recruitment.
The committee, ordered by the General Administration Department (GAD), received its directives on Thursday. The Principal Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department will chair this committee. Members include senior officials from various departments such as the General Administration, ARI and Trainings, School Education, and Information Technology. Additionally, representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board will participate, ensuring comprehensive oversight.
The committee’s primary task includes finalizing the digitization of recruitment rules, modeled after the successful “Delhi Model.” This approach aims to streamline the recruitment process, significantly reducing the time needed for recruitment and ensuring that the system remains transparent.
Incorporating BISAG-N as a digital partner will facilitate the digital transformation. This partnership emphasizes the use of advanced technology to improve government operations.
An official from the GAD explained the committee’s objectives: “We aim to coordinate, monitor, and review the overall recruitment system. This Single Window System will bring clarity and speed to public recruitment processes in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Such reforms align with the government’s commitment to cracking down on inefficiencies and bringing a new level of transparency in public service delivery. Officials believe that the systematic approach adopted by the committee will lead to a quicker, more efficient recruitment process for all government positions.
The ARI and Trainings Department will furnish necessary support to the committee, ensuring that it meets its time-bound objectives. This effort reflects the government’s larger vision to upgrade administrative practices in the region.
