Delhi Police Arrest Two Wanted Criminals Linked to Gangsters

The Delhi Police on Friday apprehended two wanted criminals allegedly connected to foreign-based gangsters following an intense encounter in the Kapashera area. The arrested suspects, identified as Akash Rajput and Mahipal, both hail from Rajasthan.

Rajput reportedly has multiple arrest warrants for various extortion and kidnapping cases spanning Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The Rajasthan police had even announced a ₹20,000 bounty on his head, reflecting the serious nature of his alleged crimes.

In a statement, an officer detailed Rajput’s criminal activities. “He was involved in the July 2022 firing outside a hospital in Assandh, Karnal, an incident orchestrated under the orders of notorious gangster Daler Kotia. Furthermore, he is wanted in a July 2025 abduction case in Gujarat, where gangster Kirit Singh Jhala demanded a staggering ₹100 crore ransom,” the officer said. This highlights Rajput’s growing entanglement with prominent crime syndicates.

Authorities revealed that Kirit Singh Jhala has recently aligned himself with infamous gang leaders, including Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan, escalating the threat posed by these criminal groups. Mahipal, the second suspect, was previously arrested in the Karnal firing case, only to find himself once again embroiled in this dangerous network after being released on bail.

During the encounter, tensions escalated, and it became a matter of life and death. The police engaged with Rajput, who sustained a bullet injury to his lower body before officers successfully overpowered him. Immediately following the altercation, he received urgent medical attention at a nearby hospital, and investigations into the incident continue.

This operation underscores the intensified efforts of the Delhi Police to dismantle syndicates linked to foreign-based gangsters, as authorities race against time to prevent further criminal activities colliding into public safety issues. The police are committed to investigating all leads connected to Rajput and Mahipal’s extensive criminal network.
