On 30 September, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma (CA) criticized the Congress, National Conference (NC), and PDP for opportunistic politics that he claims have stunted regional and national development. Speaking at the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora, Sharma condemned the INDI alliance for consistently betraying the people.
The exhibition is part of the ongoing Seva Parv celebrations in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Senior leaders such as J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan attended the event.
Sharma directed a vehement denunciation of the INDI alliance parties, asserting that they have perpetuated nepotism, corruption, and opportunism in Jammu & Kashmir. According to him, these dynastic parties have relegated the region to darkness, depriving its citizens of opportunities and leaving the youth with shattered dreams. “The Congress, NC, and PDP collectively ensured J&K remained stagnant while they enjoyed the spoils of power,” Sharma remarked.
In stark contrast to his allegations against the opposition, Sharma praised Prime Minister Modi for transforming India and Jammu & Kashmir through remarkable advancements in development, transparency, and accountability. “Since 2014, the Modi government has dismantled the chains of corruption and favoritism,” Sharma stated. He emphasized that initiatives ranging from infrastructure expansion to economic reforms reflect a vision of a ‘New India,’ driving social justice and empowering marginalized communities.
“The difference between the empty promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible benefits delivered by PM Modi is visible to every citizen,” he asserted. Sharma’s remarks resonate amid ongoing debates regarding political accountability and development in the region.
Highlighting the exhibition’s significance, Anwar Khan remarked, “This showcases every pivotal moment of Modi Ji’s life, symbolizing sacrifice and vision. In contrast, the INDI alliance has only represented corruption and betrayal.”
Mudassir Farooq Jan added that under Modi Ji’s leadership, India and Jammu & Kashmir have gained a new global identity. “We will communicate these achievements to the masses at a mission level,” he asserted, reinforcing the BJP’s commitment to showcasing their accomplishments.
